These days you have to get to the airport so early for your flight. The main obstacle is getting through TSA in a time so you aren’t doing the 100 yard dash to your gate.
In January I was leaving San Francisco on a 11am flight so I was at the airport 90 minutes or so before my flight. On my way to the gate I had some time to kill so I thought I’d stop in and grab something to eat knowing it would be my only meal of the day. I stopped into a store I believe was called Napa Farms Market. It took me a while before I found my food because I was drawn to the wine and yes it was 10am.
The lady told me I can purchase the wine and carry it on the plan home. Just what I needed to hear, so at 10am I began to taste and this Roth Estate 2010 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir got to hop the plane to NY with me.
Aromas of strawberry and raspberry filled the glass with some oak and clove.
Very soft tannins on this wine. The mouth feel was smooth and romantic with raspberry and white pepper on the finish.
Definitely a nice choice on the way to catch my plane. Yes I did get something to eat to take with me too. (I did carry 3 bottles home with me)
