This wine Paul hid from me, but I found it. I don’t know why he would hide a wine from me.

 Whitecliff Vineyards & Winery’s  2010 Traminette.

This Traminette had an extremely lychee nose.  In fact, lychee dominated the nose but it also had a crisp freshness to it with a hint of floral.  The palate had nuisances of jasmine and tropical fruit notes with soft white pepper on the finish.  The wine did not have a lot of acidity but was clean.

The more years that go by, the more I really like Traminette.  As each winery crafts their wines in their own manner, Whitecliff has shown exceptional growth in winemaking with this varietal.
