I’ve been doing some soul searching lately. February of 2011 I got laid off from my day job in the healthcare industry. It’s been a year now and in trying figure out what I want to be when I grow up, I realize it is all right in front of me. I love wine and traveling. Who doesn’t.
Before I went to work in the healthcare industry (I was doing marketing) I owned a travel agency that focused on the sending people to the wine regions of the world, Exclusive Wine Vacations. I loved it, but the travel industry was going through some rough times and changing. The day job came into play to support the wine habit which in turn lead me to become a Certified Specialist of Wine and a Wine Location Specialist. I am already a Certified Travel Counselor (CTC). How many more certifications do I need and how can I tie it all together.
I decided on Fridays I will post about a trip to a wine region. Some trips might be a trip of a lifetime, some might be a weekend get-away. If you are interested in any of them, let me know. They will be posted on Exclusive Wine Vacations, and if you want a customized trip, that can be arranged too, no matter where you would like to go.
If travel isn’t in your future, we can live vicariously through the tours and add them to our bucket list.
If anyone does book a trip, I would like to ask them to guest blog on a Friday when they return and share their experience with us, with of course lots of pictures.
